Do it Best has a new home on the sprawling downtown campus of Electric Works. Spanning 39 acres and including 18 historic buildings, Electric Works hosts a mix of office, education, retail, dining, and entertainment space. With such a diverse mix of tenants, Electric Works provides the Do it Best team with the ideal environment to foster innovation, enhance collaboration, and enjoy the things that make Fort Wayne a great place to live and work.
Collaboration
While Do it Best is the anchor tenant of Electric Works, there are dozens of other businesses, educational environments, and retail spaces on the campus as well. With schools like the Fort Wayne Community Schools Amp Lab, Indiana Tech, and Indiana University right next door, businesses like ours are able to more easily partner with students to offer them real-world experience. Parkview Health, our primary healthcare provider, also has a neighborhood clinic and pharmacy across the street, enabling our team to easily swing in to pick up prescriptions or get a checkup. We are also able to easily partner with other organizations and host community events like the Intern Day of Service. The variety of indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the campus further enhance the opportunity to connect and collaborate with others in our community, as well as fellow team members.
Entertainment
Our new home isn’t all business! The Electric Works campus has numerous entertainment options open to tenants and the public. Union Street Market, the region’s first food hall and public market, is home to a variety of food merchants and the year-round Fort Wayne, Farmers Market. It also offers welcoming and comfortable opportunities to enjoy drinks with coworkers or meals with family. Chapman’s Brewing Company recently announced their flagship brewery and taproom will be on-site. In addition to great food and retail spaces, the original GE Club basketball court has been restored, and the original GE Club bowling alley is being restored and made into a speakeasy.
Our Building
Do it Best occupies most of Building 26, the campus’ second largest building. Our facilities reflect the culture Do it Best has always had, and they provide our growing team with the flexible workstations and collaborative spaces necessary to perform most productively. Each floor has an open break area with fresh coffee and vending options. You’ll want to get to our rooftop deck for your lunch or an impromptu meeting while taking in the best view in town.
Our move to Electric Works further solidifies Do it Best as an employer of choice in the Greater Fort Wayne region. Headquartered in the heart of the city, we can more effectively foster the relationships we’ve grown over the years while making new ones along the way.
